Dog behaviourist in Valencia
Valencia is eighty minutes from Jávea. A consultation at your home is possible, with roughly € 125 travel surcharge. At this distance a remote consultation is usually the sensible first step.
The message is ready, with your town in it.
Wat ik in Valencia het vaakst zie
Valencia is a city where dogs are welcome and, paradoxically, that makes it harder. Dogs everywhere, terraces everywhere, people everywhere asking if they can stroke them. A dog who does not want any of that spends all day saying no, and at some point they say it louder.
The big green strips running through the city are where many owners let the dog off the lead. That is also where it usually goes wrong, because the distraction is at its greatest there and your voice at its smallest. You do not train recall there. You train it at home and in your own street, before you try it there.
Indoors the picture is the same as in any city: flats with thin walls, neighbours who hear it, and dogs who have to be able to be alone in a space where something is going on constantly.
What people come to me with
What it costs from Jávea
Rijtijd 80 minuten. Reistoeslag about € 125, boven op het tarief. Hieronder reken je het zelf uit.
- Behaviour consultation at your home, € 150 incl. IVA, allow an hour and a half
- Remote consultation, € 60 incl. IVA per 30 minutes, no travel costs
What fits your situation?
Four questions. You will not get a price list back, you will get what I would do if you rang me now, and what the first step costs.
What makes it shorter
- It has not been going on for months
- You can practise ten minutes a day
- Everyone in the house does the same
- Your dog is young and nothing is stuck yet
What makes it longer
- It has been there for years
- There has already been a bite
- At home everyone does it slightly differently
- Your dog came off the street and the history is unknown
- Pain or illness plays a part
Why I do not quote a total price
I do not know how many appointments your dog needs before I have seen them. That depends on how long it has been going on, on what has already been tried, on who at home takes part, and on what your dog has been through.
Anybody who gives you a number up front is selling you a figure, not an approach. What I can do: tell you exactly what one appointment costs, and after that appointment tell you honestly what else is needed. Even if that means you do not need to buy anything more from me.
Travel costs per visit, from Jávea to you
This is how it is worked out. The starting point is the centre of Jávea. Of the total travel time there and back, the first hour is included in the fee. Anything beyond that costs € 75 per hour, pro rata per minute. For example: Valencia is an 80 minute drive, so 160 minutes there and back. Of that, 60 minutes are included in the fee, and the remaining 100 minutes come to € 125. That amount is fixed in advance, so you know it before I get in the car.

Vragen uit Valencia
Would it not make more sense for my dog to come to you?
At this distance I would rather work remotely. Video shows me what is happening, and it costs you no travel time.
Can you look in remotely as well?
Yes. With video of the situation I can get a long way, and that costs € 60 per half hour.
