Dog behaviourist in Dénia
Dénia is twenty-five minutes from my door, so a consultation at your home costs you no travel surcharge here. I come to your home and go with you to the place where it goes wrong.
The message is ready, with your town in it.
Wat ik in Dénia het vaakst zie
Dénia splits into two worlds, and you see that in the behaviour. In the centre and down by the port, dogs live in flats, with a stairwell, neighbours behind the wall and a balcony looking out over the street. There it is usually about barking, about not being able to be alone, and about too little space to let off steam.
On the Montgó side it is exactly the other way round. Large plots, fences, plenty of space and few triggers, until somebody walks past. That is where I get the dogs who guard the gate all day, and the dogs who stop coming back on the mountain because there are scents out there more interesting than your voice.
Dénia also has a large group of dogs adopted from the shelter and off the street. They bring a history with them that calls for a different order of work than a dog who comes from a breeder.
What people come to me with
What it costs from Jávea
Rijtijd 25 minuten. Travel time is included in the rate. Hieronder reken je het zelf uit.
- Behaviour consultation at your home, € 150 incl. IVA, allow an hour and a half
- Remote consultation, € 60 incl. IVA per 30 minutes, no travel costs
What fits your situation?
Four questions. You will not get a price list back, you will get what I would do if you rang me now, and what the first step costs.
What makes it shorter
- It has not been going on for months
- You can practise ten minutes a day
- Everyone in the house does the same
- Your dog is young and nothing is stuck yet
What makes it longer
- It has been there for years
- There has already been a bite
- At home everyone does it slightly differently
- Your dog came off the street and the history is unknown
- Pain or illness plays a part
Why I do not quote a total price
I do not know how many appointments your dog needs before I have seen them. That depends on how long it has been going on, on what has already been tried, on who at home takes part, and on what your dog has been through.
Anybody who gives you a number up front is selling you a figure, not an approach. What I can do: tell you exactly what one appointment costs, and after that appointment tell you honestly what else is needed. Even if that means you do not need to buy anything more from me.
Travel costs per visit, from Jávea to you
This is how it is worked out. The starting point is the centre of Jávea. Of the total travel time there and back, the first hour is included in the fee. Anything beyond that costs € 75 per hour, pro rata per minute. For example: Valencia is an 80 minute drive, so 160 minutes there and back. Of that, 60 minutes are included in the fee, and the remaining 100 minutes come to € 125. That amount is fixed in advance, so you know it before I get in the car.

Vragen uit Dénia
Do you come to the centre of Dénia too?
Yes. That is exactly where I want to go up the stairs and out onto the street with you, because in a flat you only see the problem once the door opens.
Can I take my dog up the Montgó?
That depends on the terrain and on the season. With a dog who does not come back I start with a long line, on the mountain as well.
