Dog behaviourist in Calpe
Calpe is thirty-five minutes from Jávea. That is slightly more than an hour there and back, so roughly € 12.50 travel surcharge is added.
The message is ready, with your town in it.
Wat ik in Calpe het vaakst zie
Calpe is busy, and busy is exactly where reactive behaviour shows itself. The seafront, the promenade by the Peñón, the terraces and the market. There are people, dogs, bikes and noise everywhere, and a dog who cannot cope with that has nowhere to step out of it.
Many people here live in a flat with a balcony looking out over the street. A dog who watches everything happening below from the fourth floor all day is switched on all day.
The season makes a difference. In the winter Calpe is quiet, in the summer everything fills up. A dog who walks along fine in March can get stuck in July. That is not a relapse, that is a different city.
What people come to me with
What it costs from Jávea
Rijtijd 35 minuten. Reistoeslag about € 12,50, boven op het tarief. Hieronder reken je het zelf uit.
- Behaviour consultation at your home, € 150 incl. IVA, allow an hour and a half
- Remote consultation, € 60 incl. IVA per 30 minutes, no travel costs
What fits your situation?
Four questions. You will not get a price list back, you will get what I would do if you rang me now, and what the first step costs.
What makes it shorter
- It has not been going on for months
- You can practise ten minutes a day
- Everyone in the house does the same
- Your dog is young and nothing is stuck yet
What makes it longer
- It has been there for years
- There has already been a bite
- At home everyone does it slightly differently
- Your dog came off the street and the history is unknown
- Pain or illness plays a part
Why I do not quote a total price
I do not know how many appointments your dog needs before I have seen them. That depends on how long it has been going on, on what has already been tried, on who at home takes part, and on what your dog has been through.
Anybody who gives you a number up front is selling you a figure, not an approach. What I can do: tell you exactly what one appointment costs, and after that appointment tell you honestly what else is needed. Even if that means you do not need to buy anything more from me.
Travel costs per visit, from Jávea to you
This is how it is worked out. The starting point is the centre of Jávea. Of the total travel time there and back, the first hour is included in the fee. Anything beyond that costs € 75 per hour, pro rata per minute. For example: Valencia is an 80 minute drive, so 160 minutes there and back. Of that, 60 minutes are included in the fee, and the remaining 100 minutes come to € 125. That amount is fixed in advance, so you know it before I get in the car.

Vragen uit Calpe
We just want to be able to sit on a terrace again.
Then we practise that on a terrace as well, not in a field where nothing happens.
It gets worse in summer, why is that?
More going on, more heat, shorter tempers all round. We build the approach up along with the season.
