Dog behaviourist in Benissa
Benissa is twenty-five minutes from Jávea, so no travel surcharge. The village and the plots around it call for different things.
The message is ready, with your town in it.
Wat ik in Benissa het vaakst zie
Outside the village people live on large plots among the vineyards and the pine trees. Lovely to live in and difficult for a dog with a strong hunting drive. There is game, there are cats, there are scents, and there is rarely a fence that holds it all in. Poor recall is the problem I hear about most often here.
In the old village it is the other way round. Narrow streets, a lot of people close together, and dogs who listen in all day from behind a door or on a roof terrace to what is going on outside.
There is hunting around Benissa. That means in season you have to allow for dogs running loose and for what is lying on the path. A dog who eats everything off the ground runs more risk here than in the village.
What people come to me with
What it costs from Jávea
Rijtijd 25 minuten. Travel time is included in the rate. Hieronder reken je het zelf uit.
- Behaviour consultation at your home, € 150 incl. IVA, allow an hour and a half
- Remote consultation, € 60 incl. IVA per 30 minutes, no travel costs
What fits your situation?
Four questions. You will not get a price list back, you will get what I would do if you rang me now, and what the first step costs.
What makes it shorter
- It has not been going on for months
- You can practise ten minutes a day
- Everyone in the house does the same
- Your dog is young and nothing is stuck yet
What makes it longer
- It has been there for years
- There has already been a bite
- At home everyone does it slightly differently
- Your dog came off the street and the history is unknown
- Pain or illness plays a part
Why I do not quote a total price
I do not know how many appointments your dog needs before I have seen them. That depends on how long it has been going on, on what has already been tried, on who at home takes part, and on what your dog has been through.
Anybody who gives you a number up front is selling you a figure, not an approach. What I can do: tell you exactly what one appointment costs, and after that appointment tell you honestly what else is needed. Even if that means you do not need to buy anything more from me.
Travel costs per visit, from Jávea to you
This is how it is worked out. The starting point is the centre of Jávea. Of the total travel time there and back, the first hour is included in the fee. Anything beyond that costs € 75 per hour, pro rata per minute. For example: Valencia is an 80 minute drive, so 160 minutes there and back. Of that, 60 minutes are included in the fee, and the remaining 100 minutes come to € 125. That amount is fixed in advance, so you know it before I get in the car.

Vragen uit Benissa
My dog chases after everything.
Then we work on the moment before the sprint, and we accept that a long line stays in some places. That is not failure, that is good sense.
We live out of town, do you come there too?
Yes. Do send a pin, because not every plot can be found from the address.
